Karen Burrows

Karen was found dead at her residence 8/19/2008.

Karen Rich Burrows, daughter of the late Don Franklin and Rose Marie (Gardner) Burrows was born Sept. 20, 1950 in Washington, D.C. and departed this life August 19, 2008 at her residence in Southmayd. She had attained the age of 57 years, 10 months and 29 days.

Ms. Burrows had resided in Southmayd for 22 years and was formerly of Sherman. She was employed with Raytheon in McKinney. Karen was artistic and enjoyed painting, and loved animals especially her dog Harley. She also enjoyed her visits to Van Buren visiting her family and spending time on Current River.

Survivors include daughter, Shannon Biggs of McKinney; son, David Green of Sherman; stepmother, Shirley Fleming of Van Buren; brother, Mark Burrows of Fort Worth; sister Donna Burrows of Las Cruces, NM.; grandson, Blake Green of Rowlett; stepbrothers, Danny Hedgecoke of Buffalo, Bob Hedgecoke of Phoenix, Arizona and David Hedgecoke of Kremmling, Colorado; stepsister, Terri Hedgecoke of Phoenix, Arizona; and numerous other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 in the Dry Valley Cemetery near Van Buren, MO. McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, MO had charge of arrangements.
