Danny Campbell

Danny died on 10/21/2005 after a brief illness.

SHERMAN - Danny Gail Campbell was born in Bonham, Texas January 6, 1949. He died Friday, October 21, 2005 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital after a short illness.

A graduate of Sherman High School, he attended Grayson County College where he was a disc jockey at radio station, KGCC. After college, he worked as a surveyor for many years. He was a member of Key Memorial United Methodist Church.

Danny's interests were music, cooking, photography and art. He was a gentle, kind man who was loved by everyone. He loved helping other people. He was known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, which delighted his friends and family over the years.

Danny is survived by his mother, Maurine Campbell of Sherman; sister, Dorita Gant Butterwick and husband, Keith of Bells; brother, Mark Campbell of Denison; niece, Zera Taylor of Sherman; nephews, Jeremy Henderson and James Bruen and wife, Brandi, all of Sherman, and Austin Gant of Savoy; two great-nieces, Riley Taylor and Jasmine Bruen, both of Sherman; two great-nephews, Cain Henderson and Zachary Bruen of Sherman; four aunts, Dorothy Woodson and Frances Windham, both of Bonham; Sylvia Webster and husband, Gilbert of Lexington, Kentucky and Betty McCarter and husband, Jimmy of Kerrville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Harless Campbell; grandfather, Dan Campbell and grandmother, Bessie Campbell; grandfarther, Mitchell Wheeler and grandmother, Florence Wheeler; aunt, Marie Carder; uncles, Robert Carder and Darven Campbell.

Services for Danny will be under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Visitation was at Dannel Funeral Home from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2005.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon on October 25th at 2 p.m. at Key Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Albert Fisher of the church officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Henderson, James Bruen, Keith Butterwich, Kenny Gatlin, Kevin Collier, Bill Stahl, and David Campbell.
