Jerry died on 11/28/2000

SHERMAN - Jerry Lynn Craft, 50, of Yakima, and formerly of Sherman, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2000, in Yakima.

Jerry was born on July 17, 1950, in Sherman, Texas to Granville O. and Janie McCord Craft.  He was raised and educated in Sherman where he graduated from college.

Jerry met his future wife, Catherine Jeanette Moar in Maui, Hawaii while on vacation in July of 1982.  The couple married later that same year on December 30 in Sherman, TX.

Jerry worked for Kroger Grocery for 17 years in Sherman until moving to Yakima in 1991.

Jerry was a member of Westside Baptist Church.  He especially enjoyed trips to Mount Rainier with his family.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 17 years, Cathy Craft; two daughters, Misty Craft and her spouse, Cole Black and Heather Nicole Craft; and one son, Jarrad Aaron Craft, all of Yakima; one grandson, Rephayah Levi Black of Yakima; one brother, Frank Craft and his wife, Delores; one niece, Sherry Leigh Baker and her husband, Dale; and one nephew, Leslie Dale Craft and his wife, Donna, all of Sherman, Texas.  Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Granville O. Craft on October 16, 1966; and his mother, Janie Craft on December 1, 1997.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 4, at 1 p.m. in Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Concluding services will follow in West Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at Yakima Federal Savings and Loan for Jarrad and Heather Craft and sent in care of Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 West Yakima Avenue, Yakima, Wash. 98902.
