SHERMAN - Funeral services for Jo Helen "Jodie" Albin will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Albin passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, at Texoma Medical Center at the age of 58.
Jodie was born on April 21, 1950, in Sherman to Dan and Catherine (Jones) Shaw. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1968 and attended Grayson College. Jodie worked as secretary to the City Manager in Sherman for several years and later worked as the manager of the Coastal Mart convenience stores in Sherman. She married Clifford Eric Albin III on Aug. 9, 1989, in Nocona. She was a devout Christian.
Jodie is survived by her husband Eric of Sherman; father, Dan Shaw and his wife Joan of Bells; children, Scott Shaw of Gainesville, Angela Schiopa of Phoenix, Arizona, and BJ Shaw of Sherman; grandchildren, Kenneth Shaw of Sherman, Chase Shaw of Hallsville, Hunter Shaw of Sherman, Jacob Shaw of Sherman, and Allison Shaw of Gainesville; great-granddaughter, Aaliyhaa; and mother-in-law, Jaquita Albin, of Sherman. She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Shaw and brother Dan Moody Shaw Jr.
