I have moved here to N.C. in a little place called East Bend (about 20 minutes from Winston-Salem).
It is such a friendly and easy going place. I love it here and would not move back to Sidney, N.Y. unless forced to do so. Things are so less expensive here, and when you are retired you have to consider all your expenses.
I get back to N.Y. about once a year to see my daughter and son and grandchildren. We talk on the phone a lot.
I am a new woman as I have lost 60 pounds. I also have a new hip. Had my gall bladder out in April and a pace maker put in. I am pleased to say that I am very healthy now.
Love this weather here and the new friends I have made. But I will never forget my classmates or my friends in N.Y.
