Time is getting closer for our 35th class reunion. If you have not sent in your registration form, please try to do so soon. Greg is getting RSVP daily so we are hoping for a great turnout. Below is the agenda for the weekend as well as what is online at www.sidneyalumni.org. Please be sure and check it all out.
Our Friday night Icebreaker will be held around 6:30-7:00pm at the home of Jim and Doreen Wakeman who live in the Wakeman family home on Quarry Road. It will be a fun evening with refreshments, music, and great conversation. An informal "Alumni Jam" will be held as well. Class members who want to join in and play a few tunes will be more than welcome. The Friday All Alumni golf tournament is on and applications to enter can be found on the Alumni webpage (www.sidneyalumni.org). This webpage has the schedule of events for the entire weekend.
March of the Classes will be held on Saturday at 11:30am at the Alumni Field. We are encouraging as many classmates as possible to come and join in for this. It has become a big event and there is a little competition between classes to see who has the most marchers. It's a great time and you get to see a lot of classmates from other classes that you may not see at any other time.
Saturday evening we are planning a Class of 1976 get-together at the Sidney VFW. We decided instead of having a sit down dinner, we will have an informal get together with snacks and finger foods so that there will be more time to visit and socialize with classmates. Later in the evening, we can go to the Sidney Elk's Lodge to join the All Alumni classes and listen to music from the Bruce Beadle Band.
Sunday at 10:00am, will be the Memorial Service held at the Ed Roelle Nature Trail on River Street. Each class holding a 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. reunion will read the names of those classmates we have lost. The Wall of Fame Luncheon will be held at 11:00 am at the Firemen's Training Center also on River Street. Reserve your spot on the Alumni webpage!
We hope you will be able to return "home" and share in the alumni festivities. They are all important and you will be sure to enjoy each of the events you attend.
Since posting this, we have lost two more classmates, Tammy Cole and Jim Barney. Please try to come back for the Class of 1976 35th Class Reunion! You will not regret it!
