Hi All! Just a quick recap of our upcoming Reunion.
Friday, June 29, 2012: Meet at Silver High School Commons Area @ 5:00pm. Tour will be given by Coach Castillo and Coach Garcia (hopefully). Following this everyone is invited to go to Yesterday's (The Flame) to catch up with one another. This evening's beverages are on your own.
Saturday, June 30, 2012: Meet at the Historic Buffalo Bar Ballroom for a Southwestern Treat of Red Enchiladas, Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas, Beans, and Rice catered by La Familia Restaurant. Supper will begin at 7:00pm. Hell To Pay, Silver City's Rockstars, will be playing live music, as well as dropping some 1970's and early 1980's tunes via sound! Tea and water will be served with our meal. Anyone wishing to partake in a "spicy" beverage will be able to do so on their own, as the Buff will set up their bar inside the ballroom as well. This party can go up to 2:00am if there are any willing to hang in there that long. Remember........it's our 30th......and we still have another day to go!!!!
Sunday, July 1, 2012: Meet out at the former Country Club out near Golf Park, just above the golf course. Trust me....this will be the best part of our get together. Robert Rydeski has purchased the facility and it is absolutely gorgeous. The pool is clear and warm! The sound system is amazing! We will be grilling burgers, dogs and brauts, paralleled with chips, fresh veges and watermelon. Water and tea will available. And we will have two beers on tap for those over the age of 21 (LOL!!!! We are 47 and 48!!!!!! Just 'cuz some of y'all look like you're still 21, means ya might get carded by the server!!!!) Please make sure to bring your swim suit! Those bringing children, there will not be any lifeguard on duty, so please make sure that your youngins stay safe!! This begins at 11:00am and will go until about 4:00pm. We definitely will need some grill masters!!! Boys....anyone out there interested in firing up that big bad boy, step right on up!!!!!
Can't wait to see everyone!!!! A great big thank you goes out to Chris Rickman!!!!!! She's found all our missing classmates names!!! We've added them to this site. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!! We need more people to come!!!!!!!

Okay All!! Here we go! Here is the current list of folks who we know ARE coming for sure, because they shared some of their hard earned green stuff already.....
1. Brent Thomas 1
2. Lori Montano 1
3. Kevin Rogers 1
4. Shirl Penry 1
5. Julie Koger Carpenter 2
6. David Salars 1
7. Christine Rickman 2
8. LeeAnn Peters Hoppman 2
9. Cheri White Faulks 2
10. Marjorie Booth Brouhard 2.5
11. Robin Hunte Christensen 2
12. Gail Fellingham 1
13. Laura Brown 2
This makes only 20 people coming, out of 192 graduating members. We have collected $1567.69 so far. The PayPal takes about $3.00 from a $75.00 transaction, and about $5.00 from a $145.00 transaction, thus the "cents" we see. $200 of these dollars was given to me this week while I was in Silver City, by Manual Lucero, from our 20 Year Reunion, left over monies there. Our costs are going to be approximately:
Catering for 50- $350.00
Rental of Dishes/Tableware/Silverware- $unsure...still making calls. Believe around $150.00 would cover this??
Rental of Buffalo- $500.00 (includes use of building and clean up costs)
Rental of Country Club- $450.00 (includes clean up costs and certified alcohol server)
Food Costs for Picnic- $unsure....will purchase right before picnic. Burgers and dogs, fruit, water bottles, teas/sodas, chips for 50? Can't be more than $300 I wouldn't think.
Decorations- $unsure/ Chris Rickman will head this up. Assume about $100.00
Gag Gifts for Awards/Celebrations- -$unsure. Assume another $100.00
Beer for Picnic- $200.00
Hell To Pay Band -$400.00
So basically we are looking at costs of about $2550.00 give or take a few dollars. Any left over money can be decided to split up amongst all payees, or saved for our 35th Reunion. Majority rules.
So, get the word out. We need at least another $1000.00 to make this happen. That means only 13 more people to register and pay. 33 coming? Wow....tiny, but fun!!! Class of 80 had over 100 people join in their festivities. That's what I'm talkin' about....that was one heck of a reunion!!! It is our hope that we can pull at least 50. Come on y'all!! Call your friends!!!!!
