Education after Blair: BS in Electrical Engineering, MIT; MS in Applied Physics, Harvard; Ph.D. in Electromagnetics, MIT. Occupations: Faculties at MIT, George Washington University; presently engineering consultant and expert witness; inventor (two basic patents concerning wireless communication;) author (book about antennas published by McGraw-Hill.) Hobbies: Photography (still have lots of negatives from working on Silverlogue;) guitar (Doo Wops from mid 50s through early 60s are still my favorite music, finally treated myself to a Duane Eddy signature Gretsch hollowbody electric), wood working (built most of home furnishings;) Scrabble (keeps the neurons firing, top score to date is 527.) Other skills: licensed pilot (single engine instrument); SCUBA. Travel: sailing in the Caribbean, Greek Islands, and Tahiti; hiking in Europe, Canada, US, South America, Australia, New Zealand; still plenty of destinations on the bucket list; Military service: Made it to LTjg in the USNR. It's a good outfit!

About the photos: 1. Old (actually not that old) passport photo. 2. Hiking in the Grand Tetons. 3. My '75 Coupe de Ville, purchased circa 1980, by chance at a Pontiac dealer. Still runs great and has some vintage company ('78 Eldorado and my everyday vehicle, a '92 Olds Regency.) Engineers typically keep old machines alive far longer than their life expectancies! My favorite aircraft is a '74 Cessna Skylane.

School Story

Lots of good memories from Blair. In retrospect those were truly Happy Days, probably the best time to attend High School. Most detailed memory: In sophomore year, if memory serves correctly, English class with Mrs. Fess followed Biology class with Mrs. Siegrist. One day, in English class I still had a carrot in my shirt pocket, which I had dissected in Biology class. It was mostly intact, and I sat next to the pencil sharpener. In an idle but inspired moment, I attempted to sharpen the carrot in the pencil sharpener. Shortly thereafter, I noticed that the room was totally silent. Mrs. Fess was staring at me with an amused expression and asked, "Are you doing what I think you are doing?"
