Joy died of COPD.
Mrs. Joy Elaine Hines of Monrovia, Maryland was born in Bethesda, Maryland on April 6, 1947 and went home to heaven on January 13, 2014. Joy is lovingly survived by: her children, daughter, Hope E. Stockman and husband Andrew T. Stockman; son, Heath K. Hancock; daughter, Jennifer L. Plaisance and husband Shawn C. Plaisance; niece, Angel Gelyon and husband Greg Gelyon, and nephew, Todd Fister; grandchildren, Keller J. Hancock, Amelia J. Hancock, Ava S. Gelyon, Blake M. Plaisance, Ethan P. Gelyon, and Samara G. Stockman. Joy is also survived by her mother, Dorothy M. Winslow and brother, Charles E. Winslow along with a host of loving friends and extended family.
Joy was a devoted follower of Jesus and lived to serve him by helping others. Joy had a zeal for life and refused to be ordinary. She was blessed with a courageous and tenacious spirit and was gifted with a heart full of generosity. Joy loved nature, music, laughter and dance, but the animals most of all.
