I'm looking forward to seeing so many old friends at the reunion. I've always been thankful that I had the opportunity to attend Heelan High School and meet so many great people. I'm not entirely sure where those 40 years went but I do know that I'd go back to 1965-66 and do it all over again if I had the chance. We really didn't know how good we had it!

I always thought it would be nice to have a crystal ball and be able to see where everyone is and how they are. I have plans now to attend, its not that far of a trip. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Hey. It's your last chance to laugh with people that once looked like Teenagers when you did. 38!!!

I ran into one classmate that has NO intention of coming, because he regularly sees 'some' of us, and knows what's going on.

NOT

I know; 38 out of 350 isn't a great percentage. But I am Scarlett O'hara-ing and realizing how little I have appreciated all that Heelan did for me. I loved high school but when I read a profile like Mary Jo Neswik's or Reg McCloud's, it makes me realize how little time I spent getting to know people other than the ones in my tiny group. Back then, it was all about what she wore, who was he dating, did you see what she did? I would like to go to meet real people. So, if I get to know 38 people, I will be that much richer. And the more the merrier.
Remember the basketball tournament at the auditorium when we were Soph's and there was no place for us to sit so we all went to an end balcony en masse and Phil Claeys and Randy Albrecht led a rousing cheer of: "Two shorts, four shorts, six shorts, a dollar. All who want their money back, stand up ansd holler! ". Then we started chanting: "We want out money back!" Fr. Elbert was so mad he yelled at the Sophs the next day in announcements!! God, how simple life was, eh?
And I was startled to find out that Mike Salviola is the proprieter of Buffalo Alice! He was a junior when we were frosh.
There are lovely thing and awful things to remember...just like everything else. But I like Mark Packard's comment about us "rallying" to have one last get-together. We can do it! At this point, what do you have to lose?

So glad I found this site in the Crusader Connection! I doubt anyone remembers who I am, but I remember all of YOU. Am thinking I'm due for a trip back to Sx City (only been back once since '83) and the reunion might just be the excuse I need.

Thanks for hunting me down. Should be a hoot trying to figure out who's who after 40 years!

James Coffey said it - Boy have we changed! I think we are all looking pretty good. For those who were brave enough to post photos - Thanks to you and the rest of you get on the ball and post some photos so we'll be able to spot you at the reunion. And speaking of having guts - Barbara Notlze gets cudos for bravery and posting the coolest picture so far!

Now remember, we're not getting older, we're getting better!

We have finally hit the lucky "69" number!!! Good luck is on its way. I am so glad people are deciding to come to the reunion. I hope we all have a blast!

69 is a good number but still less than 20% of the class. At the last reunion,(35th) someone said over half of our class still lived in Sioux City! This is a good site, but I encourage people to create a Facebook page as well. Facebook is more flexible and makes it easier to communicate with and find people. http://www.facebook.com/login

Absolutely good advice. I guess I didn't even know we had a 35TH!

There was a 35th??? I never got notice of that either. Go figure. Onward and upward to the 40th!

I saw Joe Shinkunas on the Denver channel 9 news on Saturday night after the Nuggets beat Dallas. He was in a local sports bar and talked about "our" Nuggets. I am guessing that he lives in Denver. I will try to track him down. Small world. Looking forward to seeing lots of people at the reunion.

Hey, we made it to 70 coming to the reunion - let's make it to 75 before Sunday! Those living in Sioux City could make the number even higher.

Golf? That's it? For those of you that missed the 35th, it consisted of beer at Saviola's place, followed by beer at the 'beer garden' at Saturday in the Park.

I couldn't make 4th Street...and searched for 'bout 30 minutes at SITP. Zip. Nada.

Golf? I've played twice in my life.

Tim, that's twice more than I've played! Hope there will something else for us to do......golf cart polo, perhaps?

Steve, you are more memorable than you think! You can join us in the golf cart but you'll need a tube top!

Steve, I remember you also from freshman year in Sr. Felix's homeroom. You sat right behind me!

If you are not a golfer, please suggest activities you are interested in.

As I look through the names and pictures of people in the profile section, I am surprised by how many people I didn't know (or at least don't remember). You would think with 350 or so people in our class you would know everbody, but I guess not.

I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in attending the football game---it's Homecoming, isn't it? Could we get tickets, maybe all in one section or something?
