I graduated from USD in 1993. I substitute taught for a couple years. I started working at Girls Inc. in 1995 and evantually became the Executive Director. I left in 2002 to be the division director for the local March of Dimes office. I recentley just took the position as Development Director for the Community Action Agency of Siouxland. What does that mean? I am mainly involved with grant writing for the non-profit agency.
I married my husband Trent (West '87) in 1996. He is a mail carrier in Sioux City. He joined the Army Guard unit in Le Mars in 2002. He was in the Marines before we met, stationed in DC working as a guard for the first President Bush. Since joining the guard he spent a year in Kosovo and a year and a half in Iraq. I call those my single Mom years.
We have two daughters Madeline & Isabelle. Madeline is a 3rd grader at Mater Dei (IC) and Isabelle will be in kindergarten next year. Our girls are into dance, so that keeps us busy. When we are not working and my husband is not at guard we like to spend time biking, golfing and camping in our pop up camper!
