Comments:
I receved my AS degree from Western Iowa Tech Comm. College in 1982 prior to the Farm depression. I joined the Navy at that time and stayed in for 10 years. I been on both coasts and spent a tour in Italy. I divorced while overseas then I transferred to Kings Bay, GA where I come accross Russ Carter while he was stationed there also. My best friend there is how I met wife Barbara from upstate NY. I got out of the Navy to farm, I was a swine manager in VA, NC and IA. While I was in IA I injured my hand and loss some use of it. I went back to college in NC. I received my BS and MS in applied mathematics. I moved to Brookings, SD to start on my Ph.D. in Computational Sceince and Statistics. My wife is finishing her masters in education and in the fall of 2009 she'll start her Ph.D. in Education. We moved back to IA on a small farm so my daughter can have her horses. I am an adjunct instructor at WITCC while I am finishing my doctorate.
When was out of High school I changed my last name to "O'Byrne" to restore it to the family name from Ireland.
