I spent a couple of years at Iowa State, then worked for a finance company starting in Sioux City in 1981. That company transferred me to a few places in Iowa, Spencer, Ft Dodge, Perry and finally Des Moines in 1985. In 1995 I changed jobs and started selling insurance and have done that ever since. I took classes to get my CPCU designation, most of them thru Drake, and after years of studying, got a trip to New Orleans for my efforts. A very memorable place to visit and nothing like I had imagined. My partner Carmen runs her own business called Time To Spare. She will do anything you don't want to do, don't have time to do, or can't do. I.E., housecleaning, painting, pet care, running errands, snow removal, organizing etc...Even in this tight economy there are still plenty of things people will pay to have done so they don't have to. Two of my sisters and my parents still live in Sioux City, and we do come to visit, but usually for holidays or something going on...
