Services for Harold Eckles, 55, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Church with the Rev. Mickey Eckles officiating.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002.
He was born Aug. 18, 1946, in Slaton. He graduated from Lubbock High School and received his associate's degree from South Plains College. He also attended Wayland Baptist College in Plainview. He married Betty Lois Thompson on June 21, 1964, in Lubbock. He had been a resident of Lubbock since moving from Slaton in 1964.
He worked as assistant fire marshal and retired in February 1996 after 26 years of service. He was a member of the Lions Club of Lubbock.
He was preceded in death by a grandson in August 2000.
Survivors include his wife; two sons Michael Don and Mickey, both of Lubbock; his mother, Myrtle of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.
