In memory of Ramon Torres Magallanes, Jr. born May 20, 1946 in Del Rio, Tx and died in his home in Fort Worth, Tx on November 24, 1997. After graduation at SHS, Ramon graduated from Wayland Baptist Univeristy and then Texas Tech with a master's degree in education. He was founder of the B-TAP program. In 1987, he received the key of the city of Fort Worth. He was an executive producer of "We Can Do It Estilo Tejano"

He worked in bilingual education in Planview, Austin and Fort Worth, where he served as director of bilingual education.

Marie-France Blair Respondek - I think Ramon lived in the house on the corner of our street. I just remember he was very smart in school and very quiet. A sad thing that someone with so much going for him died so young.
