Randall Lee "Randy" Webb, Sr. of Smyrna, Delaware died Friday August 10, 2007 due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
He was 38.
Mr. Webb was born January 19, 1969 in Seaford, Delaware the son of James W. and Lucille Hall Webb of Smyrna.
Mr. Webb worked for Food Lion in Laurel, Delaware as a meat cutter in the meat department. He had previously worked for Sam's Club in Dover, Delaware.
Randy grew up enjoying activities of many types, including playing Little League Baseball for four years and being active with the Scout troops 135 and 239 for several years. During his participation with the Scouts, he attained a rank of Life Scout. In 1982, Randy became an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow B.S.A. In 1984, he worked in the Youth Conservation Corps at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Randy went on to receive the FFA Star Diamond Agribusiness Man of the Year award in 1986 where he attended the Eastern State Exposition at West Springfield, Massachusetts and received the FFA State Farmer Degree. Mr. Webb was a former member and crew leader of the Hartly Fire Company and was an avid Duck, Quail, and Deer hunter and fisherman. He loved his dogs Copper, Tater, and his cat Tippie.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norma Elizabeth Hastings, and Irving and Ester Hall.
He is survived by two children, Ashley Pearl Webb and Randy Lee Webb, Jr., both of Smyrna; his parents, James and Lucille Webb; and his fiancée, Tracy DiRusso and her two children, Nicole and Becky DiRusso of Smyrna.
Services will be Friday August 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday August 16.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors, Inc., 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware.

I wish I was sending you a Happy 40th Birthday to you today Randy.I also wish I could discuss memories that date back to 2nd grade, cub scouts, weblos, boy scouts and of course Smyrna High with you.
It would have been good to have seen you at the 20th year reunion.
Tragic events like yours and Joy Stachecki's should make us all pause and reflect on what we should say and do to those important to us now while we still can.
