I left Soda for Laramie Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1974. I then attended Utah State and received an MBA in 1976. I moved to Boise and have been here every since. For 13 years I worked for IBM in Boise and had a great time with that company. Alot of opportunity and quite a bit of travel. In 1981 when my Dad died I brought his airplane to Boise from Soda and had it here to do a little bit of flying around the northwest.
In 1988 I married my husband Spence, he is a pilot, both military and also flew for Horizon Air. Because of that and the airline benefits, we have been able to do quite a bit of traveling. In 1992 our daughter was born and when possible we have hit the road.
Since my IBM days I have worked as an independent contractor. For about 10 years I worked in expense reduction consulting and the last 8 years have done insurance work and private money brokering.
I have continued to ski alot every season, either with my family or with a group of friends here in Boise. I also am still playing golf and still love the tournaments. Also I have started skate skiing in the winter and road biking in the summer. The best of all worlds.
My husband is a nut case fly fisherman, alot of fun to be with, he and my cousin, Mack, the guy who no longer has any hair (!), do fish together quite often. I join them but don't have nearly the patience.
The road biking is why I will not be at the reunion. Previous to knowing about the reunion I had made arrangements for a group of 6 or 7 women to do a trip up to Sandpoint, Id to do several days of road biking in the area. My sister and her husband have a home there so we are going to have a place to stay and will be having a great time on the lake and riding in the area. We are then meeting our husbands in McCall at a friend's cabin and will see the fireworks on the lake on the 3rd.Too bad. I would love to get caught up with everyone and go back to Soda for a visit!
You all have a great visit!
I think that I will leave this section blank. Patti Scheffel Freeman can fess up to all our adventures in high school, but I don't think that I will admit to anything on the internet!
All I can say is that I am very glad that I grew up in Soda and attended a small high school. We had some great teachers and some not so hot, but it was a wonderful era and a great little town to call home.
The list is long. I will start with traveling to Argentina, Peru and Ecquador.
