When I graduated from SHS in '68 I went on to Bridgewater State as an Earth Science major. Graduated in '72 and was being chased by the draft board. Escaped them, thank goodness. In July of 1973, I was hired by the Nat'l Env. Satellite Service in Washington, DC as a physical scientist. Moved to our Nation's capitol and lived there for 10 years. While I was there, I went on to graduate school at the Univ. or Maryland and got a Masters degree in Oceanography. An oceanographer position became available in Redwood City, CA and I transfered to the National Weather Service(NWS)Forecast Office located there. I served as the West coast oceanographer for the NWS and retired on the last day of the millenium, December 31, 2000. I didn't work for a couple of years and enjoyed retirement. Then, in 2002, my buddy Dr. Dana Gordon asked if I would like to work for him parttime in his compounding pharmacy. I do mostly network administration, maintainging our website (www.caprx.com), etc. It's a great gig. When I turn 59 1/2, though, my working days will be over! Yippee.
