I moved to Redding in 1969 and attended Shasta College for 2 years. I then attended CSU, Chico and earned my teaching credential in 1974. I married my wife, Marian, in 1974. I substituted and coached for 4 years and was unable to obtain a teaching job in the Redding area. So, I became a Farmers Insurance agent, and I have worked with Farmers for the past 31 years. We have two wonderful daughters, Abby and Jenny. My wife, Marian, retired from teaching high school last year. She was a teacher for 32 years.
My mom passed away in 1998 from complications of MS. My dad is 85 and is living in Millville, which is located 18 miles from Redding. I enjoy having lunch with dad and my brother every week.
I am looking forward to also retiring (in the next 4 to 7 years) so that we can take golf trips and explore the United States. I am also looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
