Sweet! What are we discussing?

Bonnie Malczewski

The radical reconstruction of the South after the Civil War was neither radical nor a reconstruction. Discuss.

What a weird and cool trip down memory lane I just had going through the different profiles! And LORDY what different paths everyone who's posted has taken! I think the downfall to the class of 1993 was that THERE WERE NO PIETILAS!!!! We had watered-down Pietilas, for sure, but we didn't have any true-name, card-carrying, board-certified Pietilas.

That has hurt our class more than any of us will ever know......

Taking the time to read what our classmate have been up to is a definate trip. I am looking forward to more people we went to school with to sign on and get profiles together.

Jason...although not huge in stature (one of the handful of guys I was actually taller than) you are forgetting hockey legend, smart ass extraordianire and bona fide Pietila.....Carl

Dang it Bonnie! I studied for the discussion the Holy Roman Empire is neither Holy, Roman or an Empire and I also brushed up on the effectiveness of the neutral zone trap. Just like high school all over again.

I am loving the profiles! It's amazing where life has taken everyone!

My observations would be:
-Bonnie looks great as a brunette!
-Karen Novotny looks great with super dark hair!
-Howell must be the size of California now with all the people who live there!!!

Seriously, it's been fun checking in on everyone.

Also, I'm happy to do a round of Morning Announcements if I can track down Mandy Carey.

Hey Kathy! My dad see's Mandy's dad all the time. I'll try to get her info for you! I see her at the Pumpkinfest and some other craft shows around South Lyon and Brighton! (about 2-3 times a year) She has a beautiful baby boy!!!

What is up with all of the babies due in May??? I guess October is the month to get busy! :-)

Karen: It's the lighting - you can't see the crow's feet. Seriously! ;-) Though if I do have any secret, it's being so pale that I had to stay out of the sun long before it was ever a popular thing to do!

And aside from new hair colors, and more facial hair on the guys, everyone looks just as I remember!

Kristi: Tell Mandy's dad to get her on here!!

Aww, Pumpkinfest...We don't have anything like that here. :(

Renae: Maybe a little before October! That'd be only 7 months! :) Hmm, what would 9 be...August? Ah, the heat, less clothes, vacations...it all makes sense now...

Sorry so long...

Remember when Brenda tried to convince Andrea to ask Brandon to the Spring Dance, but Kelly beat her to it? And then Steve reluctantly took Donna, who wore an elaborate gown that impeded sitting or dancing? And then he ignored her, got drunk, and lashed out at Brandon and Kelly, and Kelly admitted her crush on Brandon, and they kissed, but he nixed a relationship because he thought of her as a sister? And then Steve revealed that it was his birthday, and that he was especially sensitive about this after recently learning that he was adopted? And he had confided in Kelly, but she forgot because she was caught up in her quest to become Spring Queen? Oh, and remember how then Brenda and Dylan checked into a hotel room upstairs, and she lost her virginity? And how, while watching a horror movie, Andrea daydreamed about chasing Kelly with a chainsaw, and she decided to go to the dance alone? And then David won a dance contest, and received the right to dance with Spring Queen Kelly?

Ok, Bonnie's is the best school story so far. If you wern't watching 90210 or listening to Pearl Jam by the end of our senior year there was probably something wrong with you. I remember a certain group of guys having a weekly 90210 night. Yes, guys. Guys like (if memory serves me right) Corey Oscarson, Evan Baker, Ryan Piper... I'm certain there were more, and yes, I attended at least once. I'm pretty sure they listend to Pearl Jam too.

90210 was the best! And it's making its way in re-runs because my daughter (being the same age as me when it first came out...OUCH that hurt saying that!) watches it now and loves it! She's not to kean on Pearl Jam though!

What's really sad, is that same group of guys also were pretty addicted to watching "Melrose Place" as well!

I'm not admitting to how I know this... ;-)

I keep telling myself we were only watching it for Amanda (Heather Locklear)! Ha, Ha.
