Meredith Simpson

Well, after high school I went to TTU on a golf scholarship and played there for 4 years. We won the OVC Crown 2 of the 4 years I was there. College came too soon and left too quickly. After that, I got a job at Wal-Mart in Cookeville in May of 2002. Then, I transferred to the Wal-Mart in Algood when it opened in January of 2004. I was with Wal-Mart for 4 and a half years when I left in November of 2006, and started my current job at SunTrust Bank call center here in Cookeville. I absolutely love my job. It is right up my alley. I did not finish my degree (MIS) while i was at Tech, but I plan on going back soon and doing so. I have about 20 or so hours left, so I need to get that done. Not a whole lot has changed about me over the years...except that I am older and fatter. Lol. Well, I am much more outgoing, I guess u could say. Family and friends are the most important to me. I am looking forward to seeing each and every one of you at the reunion in October. I cannot believe it has been 10 years already. See you all soon!

Most of my school memories revolve around sports. Me and Kylie won Regionals in golf in 1997, and we went on to both finish in the top 20 in the State. Brad and Corey won State in basketball 1998. If I was not at school, you could always find me at the Sparta Country Club. I was there every day, even on the weekends. Softball was also my passion, until I tore my ACL and that put and end to it. I did not play my Senior year due to it. I loved going on all the basketball and football trips because I recorded all the games for the school. So, I saw a lot of them over my 4 years at WCHS. I loved high school and missed it terribly when it was over. I think the people in my homeroom set a school record with the most homeroom teachers over their 4 years. First, we had Mrs. Rainey. She was awesome. But she left and then her mom, Mrs. Kintz, came to be our teacher. She was a lot more strict. Then, we had Bob. Does anyone remember Bob? Lol. He always had a spot of saliva in the center of his lips and when he talked, it made me naseous. Gross! And then finally, our Senior year, we had Mrs. Felts, I think that is her name. She was very quiet. We pretty much sat there in silence all year for homeroom. So, 4 homeroom teachers in 4 years. I guess it is hard to find a good French teacher, huh?
