Went to Motlow State Community College, then Tennessee Tech, then fell in love and dropped out. Moved to Tullahoma for a few years, learned several trades, got a good job, got my heart broken. Moved back to Sparta/Cookeville area to be with friends and family.
Graduated TTU with honors in December of 2010, with a degree in GIS.
I am the chair of the local caving club, the Upper Cumberland Grotto. I am a member of the National Speleological Society, Tennessee Cave Survey, Tennessee Parks and Greenways, Caney Fork Watershed Association, and a founding member of the Tennessee Cave and Karst Working Group.
My photography has been featured on the homepage of Yahoo.com, and has won several awards: Fickr Explore, Tumblr Year in Review. It has also been the point of interest for textbook publishers, television producers and universities. I published my first photography book in December of 2010.
I am the most senior technician at the largest retail pharmacy (as far as prescription volume) in probably the whole of Middle Tennessee. My search for a job in the field of geography begins next week.
Depending on the success and long-term viability of my job search, I will be applying to various schools in Tennessee and Kentucky to join a masters program with an emphasis on archeology or karst hydrogeology.
