30 Year Reunion

Noon is a hard-start time. Due to a SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE and COVID, the Carousel will be the only time we are allowed to gather in one spot. We have ONE HOUR together at this location, so we need to maximize our time. If anyone would like to ride on the Carousel, there will be tickets free of charge. Allow time for parking and walking to Riverfront Park. Again, be there at high noon or you will not be allowed in. Okay, you’ll be allowed in since that would be weird to stop anyone and impossible to enforce but just don’t be late.

• Crave Eats. Drinks. Nightlife

Due to ongoing COVID restrictions and restaurants being at only 50% capacity, it will be like bar hopping. They are all within one block of Riverfront Park. We encourage your fellow Saxons to hop between the three places multiple times and try to avoid staying at one too long. Please stay within the three designated places listed below. They are all bringing in extra staff to accommodate us. 

ACCOMMODATIONS: The Davenport Grand has blocked out double rooms for $138 per night (parking is an additional $22). Given this was to be Hoopfest Weekend, all the hotels downtown are roughly the same price, no matter how many stars it is rated. To reserve, simply call The Davenport Grand and inform them you are with the Ferris 1991 Reunion. You must call to book, online booking is not available. 

RSVP: To reiterate, DO NOT BE LATE.  The restaurants will be adding staff to accommodate us, so it is very important to RSVP by June 10th. Also, please tag your Facebook Friends to inform them of our 30th Reunion so we don’t leave anyone out. And any teenager too. Thanks y’all!

SPECIAL THANKS: The 30th Planning Committee (Heidi Elkins, David Forsyth, Keli Moland, and Lori Parham) will be stationed outside the front doors of the Carousel, so be sure to check in upon arrival. Also, a special shout-out to the previous Reunion Committee, Karene (Garlich) Loman, Chris Llloyd, Jennifer (Lambert) Little, and Amy Swanstrom for their hard work at the 10 year and 20 year. It’s a lot of work and a lot of people to keep happy! Anyone who criticizes the Planning Committee will automatically be a member of the next Planning Committee and so on and so forth.
