I collect Northwest art, kayak, and love to read.

One granddaughter: Cali: She's only 1 1/2 so at this point it sounds like Baba.

Whatcha been doin' since '69:

I taught in the public schools for 11 years and then came to Whitworth in 1985. I finished my PhD at WSU and am now chair of the Education Department.

Funniest Mead memory:

Wow. That's a hard one. I remember I spent a lot of time just hanging out with friends and laughing a lot. It was a great few years.

Fellow classmate you were fondest of (and why):

Kathy Clark was a great first girlfriend and is still a great person. I most miss Marc Walters (from 1970) who died in April 1994.

Teacher who made the greatest impact on you.

I breezed through my first year of college chemistry based on what I learned in Mr. Brunett's chemistry course. Well done, Gordie.
