Ross Yarnell passed away peacefully in the early morning March 11, 2010. He was surrounded by family and friends who shared with Ross how much joy he had brought to all of them and how courageous he had been in his two-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Ross was an amazing husband, father, friend, coach and businessman. He loved to water ski, golf, watch movies and go on family vacations. He was born in Portland, but spent most of his youth in Spokane, where he graduated from Ferris High School in 1981. He moved to Oregon to attend Oregon State University, where he met his wife, Mindy. They wed in 1993 and had two children, Kaitlyn and Cameron, who both have his smiling eyes, kind heart and were the light of his life.
