Survived By: Steve is preceded to our Lord by his parents, Adaline Sophia and Carl Otto Swenson, his sister Bonnie Mae Gunderson; and numerous aunts and uncles. Steve is survived by his wife, Linda at home; one son, Steve C. Swenson Jr. and family of Spokane, one daughter, Ronnie Echavez and family of Fort Drum, NY; one step-son, Aaron Smith and family of Everette, WA; and one step-daughter, Wendie Ellis and family of Spokane. Also are four sisters, Diane Zibin and family of Spokane, Carol Coburn and family, also of Spokane, Mitzy and Glynn Ray of Plummer, ID and Sherry Ray and family of Spokane. Sherry's son Thomas is at present a U.S. Marine serving in Iraq. Steve has eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.

SWENSON, Steve Carl Sr. (Age 58) Steve passed to be with our Lord Jesus on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. He was born here in Spokane to Adaline Sophia and Carl Otto Swenson May 4, 1949. Steve spent almost his entire life here in Spokane, graduating from Ferris High School in 1968. Then he joined the United States Marines Corps. And while on leave, he married his high school sweetheart, Connie Martin, they have two children. Steve served with The 1st Marines, 7th Marine Division in Vietnam, 1969-1970. He was in Recon, a sniper and radio operator. After getting out of the service Steve worked at Kim-Hotstart here in Spokane and received his Mechanical Engineering Degree at Spokane Community College. Steve also worked for a number of years for Thermoguard Equipment and ASC Machine Tools, here in Spokane. Steve loved to play the guitar and was very good at it. He loved the mountains and woods with a passion. Steve loved to hunt and fish, camping, and especially family get-togethers. Times around the campfire at night when the first snow fell, were also very special. Published on 9/21/2007
