No service will be held for David D. Hughes, who died of a heart attack Feb. 23, 1999, at age 49.
Mr. Hughes was born April 18, 1949, in Spokane and moved to Portland as a young man. He graduated from Portland State University and the police academy in Monmouth. He was a supervisor for Tri-Met 12 years and also had been a reserve officer for the Troutdale and Lake Oswego police departments. He had lived in Camas, Wash., for the past three years. In 1979, he married Mary C. "Christy" DeTemple.
Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Davies Cremation & Burial Services.
