Stephen D. Weathermon was born in Spokane on November 26, 1950, to Ethel and Dee Weathermon, joining sisters Carol and Denise, and passed away peacefully on April 1, 2022. Steve spent his entire life in Spokane, graduating from Ferris High School in 1969 and attending Spokane Community College. Steve married JoAnne Kunze on March 18, 1989, and remained married to her until her death on July 25, 2004. Robert was born to Steve and JoAnne on July 4, 1989, joining JoAnne's son Jeremy Peak. Steve retired after working 35 years for the City of Spokane. An Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver, Steve was active in Scouting for 60 years. In addition, he worked at the Moran Fair with JoAnne for many years and worked in numerous Scout Jamborees at Camp Cowles. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, JoAnne, his sister Denise, and one grandchild. Steve is survived by his son, Robert, step-son Jeremy (Rene), sister, Carol, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing held at Heritage Funeral Home (508 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224) on Friday, April 15th, from 2-4 PM. As a long-time member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 1111 S Thor St., Spokane, Steve's funeral will be held there at 2 pm, Saturday, April 16, with burial at Fairmount Cemetery at 12:30 pm Tuesday, April 19.
