April 6, 1987 - June 4, 2022

It is with immense sorrow that we share the tragic news of Nathan's passing. He was born on April 6, 1987, in Spokane, Washington to his loving parents, Steven and Pam Gray and was the little brother to his two devoted sisters, Lindsay and Megan. Nathan grew up surrounded by a strong and supportive extended family including his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins with whom he was very close. He was the father of three children. He loved Emma, Devon and Liam dearly. Being a parent brought out the best in Nathan. Emma's earliest memory of her dad was sharing his love of music. It filled their home at all times and will always remind Emma of the memories they made.

Nathan was a sweet and loving person with a very kind heart. He was shaped by the unwavering presence and guidance of his Grandpa John and Grandma Nita, who showed us all by example how to live life in an honorable way. A loyal friend, adored by many, he had a mischievous smile and a sense of humor that could bring you to tears despite your best efforts to remain composed. He was widely regarded as "quite the charmer." He was not a pretentious man, but he loved a great suit. And, he rocked it; all the better if there was a camera nearby!

Nathan lived in Spokane all his life, working in roofing sales for most of his professional career. He was the perfect salesman. He had a very happy childhood, growing up alongside his sisters on the wide open fields of the Glenrose Prairie. He whiled away endless summers on Lake Couer d'Alene in the company of his cousins he considered his brothers. One of Nathan's greatest passions and talents was snowboarding. The more challenging the run, the better. He spent countless hours at Schweitzer Mountain, possibly the one place he found true peace. He had the opportunity to travel with his family frequently, often on snowboarding excursions to Idaho, Canada, France and Austria.

These idyllic settings fostered within Nathan a deep connection to family and nature. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and target shooting with his best friend, Levi. He had a particular taste for cougars!

He leaves a hole in the hearts of people who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the retelling of the stories that we all cherish and that make us laugh anew.

"I could have told you Nathan, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you."

Services will be held in Spokane, WA at Hillyard Baptist 2121 E. Wabash on Tuesday June 14, at two o'clock in the afternoon.
