David VonBrethorst, 47, of Spokane WA, passed away on November 11th, 2022. He was born in Long Beach, CA, on April 2nd, 1975, to Linda and Michael VonBrethorst. David was raised in Spokane, WA and graduated from Ferris High School in 1993. He was married to Monica VonBrethorst on November 3rd, 1995 in Spokane, WA. Together they had 3 beautiful daughters and were married for 27 years. David spent most of his life as a pastor, starting as a youth pastor at Spokane Christian Center, then to New Community where he became an associate pastor, and then he and his family were sent out to plant Emmaus church in the Perry District of Spokane. He also spent almost 20 years as a track coach at Ferris High School. In the last several years of his life, he was dedicated and worked tirelessly toward becoming a golf professional. He was awarded an honorary Class A Golf Professional certification following his death. He is survived by his wife, Monica VonBrethorst; his children, Abigail Moczulski, Madison Casebolt, and Ava Gunion; his sister, Cheryl Olson; and his father, Mike VonBrethorst. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda VonBrethorst. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26th, at 1pm in the Ferris High School auditorium in Spokane, WA.
