You always kept our little group going.  Still remember the good times we had together.

Al called me the night he found out he had lymphoma.  We were both in tears.  Immediately  prior to this he had  traveled down to Euqene with me and the Staley boys (Bill and Jason) to a Cougar football game in Eugene.  (Bill being a WSU grad.)  Al worked in Olympia and was dedicated to his wife Sandy and his family.  All of us LC classmates remained close friends with Al; Jim Dietzman, Mark Shirey, John Staley (who predeceased Al) and me.

Al was always a special person to me. He was always friendly and kind and we enjoyed a few dates together. He always had a smile on his face; that's the Al I will remember from high school.

"Albany Al" was also a good friend of mine.  He was always so energetic and enthusiastic and still had that great enthusiasm at our 30th Reunion.  He, like John Staley, left us too soon!

Fred Freeman (Freeman)

Al Scott was one of my best football player friends.  His enthusiasm and energy inspired us all.  He was a wonderful middle linebacker.  Most of all he was my friend.

Al, may you rest in peace.

Love Fred Freeman
