Most intelligent guy I knew. Great family. Used to eat peaches off his tree in back yard. I doubled with him on his first HS date.  Boy was he nervous. What a tragedy to lose him at such a young age.

When I walked across the Joe Albi stage in 1963 one of the good guys in the world shook my hand, smiled broadly and whispered, "Marberg, congratulations, I'm glad you could make it...and maybe a little surprised."  That was Denny.  One of the two (if I'm not mistaken) validictorians of our class.  Denny was as bright and open and fair a person as I've ever met.  When I read that he had passed shortly after completing his residency I was very sad for what our community, and the world, had lost.

Dennis Thayer was the most romantic guy that I have ever known. We had a 6 year relationship starting in the summer of 1964  He was fun and handsome.  He was " book-smart" and talented.  He was better than me at everything.  He changed my life forever.  I pray for Gods grace for Dennis  and I know he prays for me.
