Robert George Dashiell

Graduated U/W NROTC Scholarship, Qualified Nuclear Submarines, completed 24 years in Navy and ended as Deputy Commander, U..S. Naval Forces, Saudi Arabia during Gulf War I. Officer in Charge of Kuwait Air Force for short time. Received MBA Michigan State; Executive MBA U/W. Two year photography degree; worked on National Geographic children science book series. Traveled extensively ... five around the world trips and visited or lived in 24 countries.
Currently volunteer at Islandwood Environmental Learning Center and am a Beach Naturalist for Seattle Aquarium. Active in City politics and committees, specialty being Stormwater and Puget Sound protections.
Live on 5 scenic acres on Bainbridge Island with too much work always to do maintaining the grape arbor, fruit trees, and gardens.

Many good LC memories, but an unusual one is the band's lighted halftime shows at football games at Memorial/Joe Albi stadium and how we found our way around in the dark (formation 3, 8 steps forward, 3 to left ....) as we tried to get the right color cap on the light.
