I believe Jeff died in a horse riding accident while still in high school.

Yes, he did pass away from a horse riding accident our freshman year.  I remember we were in Mr. Courtney's English class and many of us went to the funeral.  I also remember Jeff from Frederick Harris Elementary School.

Gone far too young.

Jeff did die in a horse riding accident while in high school.  A scholarship fund was established in his name.  I was one of the first recipients of a Jeffrey A. Parish scholarship.  It was awarded at the assembly on the final day of scool.  I tripped on the way up the stairs to the stage.  I was the first person in my family to attend college and the scholarship money was greatly needed and appreciated.

Yes, Jeffrey passed away while riding a horse = jumping... He died a few days after the accident. I was a dear and close friend of Jeffrey's and have missed him immensely since his death.  Jeffrey passed away, I believe, when we were in 10th grade...

I also remember Jeff . I believe he was 16 when his horseback accident occurred .  It was quite a shock to come into school that morning when we all learned of the tragedy. I can still picture him as cute as ever ! Plus he was a really nice person.

I knew Jeff well.  We were in the same homeroom (last names start with "P").  He was an incredibly nice person.  It was, indeed, a shock when we learned what had happened and a huge loss.  You never expect to experience those events at such a young age.  We experienced, unfortunately, more than one of those sad days during our time at Classical.

I never knew Jeff personally. But, I was in algebra class with Mr. Andrews when we heard of his accidental death. I believe his girlfriend, although l do not remember her name, was in the class at that time as well. I can remember the crying and hysteria that followed. May his memory be eternal.

Jeff was a great guy.  He died around the same time my father did in June of 1965.  I got to know his family very well as a result.  His father and I said Kaddish together that year.

I also knew Jeff since Harris elementary, and I vaguely recall going to his home along with Sandy, Eric Thal (and some of my other Jewish friends) for an impromptu snack party and being very kindly received by Jeff's mother. Despite my Gentile status, I was also invited  to go to the Jewish Community Center with Jeff, Sandy, et al  to play hoops . God works in mysterious ways, but I'm sure that he's in a better place...
