Lee. His sister Ellen, 30, a tall gorgeous blonde, graduated from BU, got a Master's in Public Policy at UMD in May 2017, worked as a health care consultant in Boston with her future husband, to whom she is now married. Guest(s) Name:

Teresa Turyn Bloom

After JDRHS I moved to DC to attend Georgetown, and began working full-time for the federal government almost immediately. Thirty-seven years later, after a career working for a number of federal agencies including a bunch of Cabinet Secretaries, I finally retired in 2012 as Director of Operations for the headquarters of the US Food and Drug Administration, having completed the consolidation 10,000 employees from over 40 FDA locations onto a new $1.5B 660-acre Campus in Silver Spring, MD. The next day, I reported to Washington Adventist Hospital as Executive Director, later becoming VP, and worked 8 more years there, helping them build and relocate to a brand new state-of-the-art hospital called White Oak Medical Center. It is the top heart hospital in MD with some of the top heart surgeons in the world. They also collaborate extensively with the FDA, and as such are unique among hospitals. I finally retired in 2019 and live full-time at the beach in Bethany Beach, DE.

I'm happily married to the former Teresa Turyn, a retired ERISA lawyer who served as a Division Director at the US Department of Labor.

We have 3 dogs who are a lot like kids except they don't need clothing and they don't require money for college and law school.

I'm horrified every time I read a new addition to the "In Memory" section. We've lost a lot of good people way too soon. Anyone reading this should realize how lucky we are to still be healthy at the age of 60-61 of whatever we all are, and appreciate it.

School Story:

I have many good memories of my Class of 1975 classmates, including people I went to elementary school with in Mountainside (as Marc Greene) and people I went to junior high and high school with at FMG and Dayton.

Note to Echobrook kids: I remember Mr. Landis' entire 4th grade class in alphabetical order, because of the way he took attendance.

I loved the reunion a number of years ago, but could not make the 40th.

My cell is 202 246 4656. Feel free to call anytime.

Margo was my first girlfriend.  We were 5.  I think it was first grade when I ran into her playing at the poolside at the old Aztec Hotel in Miami Beach, FL, a funny coincidence.  Years later I worked with her on the JDRHS school newspaper, which she edited.  Margo was a brilliant, beautiful, courageous person and I always admired and respected her.  May she rest in peace.  Marc Bloom
