Annie, sheltie. Our first "child" - hairy child :-) Born the month we got married, November 1996, in Memphis.

20 years already!? But I haven't grown up yet...! Funny how we perceived situations and each other back then.... As I look through all the old pics and all our profiles, I'm reminded of specific events, friendships, laughter, "ah-ha" moments, teenage crushes, and sheer encitement for the future. But I also remember the pain of heavy and dark emotions, the pain of hunger, fears and embrassments, and deep loss. For some of us, it takes 20 years to see that some of those feelings and self-perceptions were detrimental and simply unrealistic. (1) The moral, for me?...I will teach my daughter to "live in the moment" and if she can THINK it, she can DO it; we only have one chance at life. (2) The bottom line, for me?...I found a real passion and ability, late, at nearly 40: as a Rock&Blues vocalist (i.e., a chick with a band). What a "180" for me! From nerd to turd in 20 years' time. Ha!

SOOOOO glad to be done with High School

C'mon ... I'm in WYOMING! I wish I could see old friends more often. It's saddening to me, really.

wanted to play volleyball, golf, soccer. ... But remember what I said in my intro up top: sometimes it takes us many years to realize things were not always as they seemed at one time in our lives. I was too embarrassed, nervous, and feared potential failure. Hence, no sports dreams for me ..for me it was climbing trees (guess that's where the "nature girl" name I was called came from?) and playing baseball and kickball with the neighbor boys in the streets at night, on my own time.

Again, nerd. ...yes I did.
