51, of Springfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday night in her residence. She was born April 19, 1956 in Springfield to Paul E. and Betty (Cooper) Kuss. She had worked as a registered nurse for Mercy Medical Center for 23 years and was also a teacher of critical care nursing at Mercy. Terri was a member of The Journey Church. She is survived by her father, Paul Kuss; husband of 14 years Fred Erdman, II; one son, Justin Palmer, Springfield; two brothers and spouses, Mike (Wendy) Kuss, Austin, Texas and Pat (Pam) Kuss, Springfield; four step-children and spouses, Jean Marie (Robert) Wagner, Fred (Natalie) Erdman, II, Gregory (Kathy) Erdman and Robert (Patricia) Erdman, all of Springfield; four step-grandchildren, Allen Erdman, Sarah Wagner, Anthony Erdman and Nicole Wagner and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty and stepmother, Jean Kuss. Terri was a wonderful friend to many and loved by all. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. on Monday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in The Journey Church/Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Jamie Noel officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Justin Palmer, Mike and Pat Kuss, Fred, Greg and Robert Erdman and honorary pallbearer, Dr. Thales Pavlatos. I am very sorry to hear of Terry's death. She was a close friend in school and I am sorry we drifted apart. She was smart, friendly and had a wonderful sense of humor. I feel honored to have known her.Pam Kunkle
I was really shocked to hear of Teri's death. She did not miss one day of school from Kindergarten through graduation. I lost track of her in the last 20 years. She was alot of fun.Ruth Mayes (Fogle)
Terri was a dear friend. She could always make me laugh and on more than one occasion, we would walk from the Community Hospital School of Nursing down Burnett Rd. to Beatrice Ave. and she would let me share an evening with her family. She was an excellent nurse who served as one of a very few instructors who specialized in the field of intensive care. She was a great mom to her son Justin and shared a lovely life with her husband Fred. She will be greatly missed.Jerri Kime (Dyke)
I got to know Terri by working with her in CCU at Mercy. She always seemed to be doing or teaching SOMETHING new to us! Her honesty and openness was so refreshing in that atmosphere. We stayed in casual contact over the years ( and husbands....LOL).Then both her Dad and my Mom were in Grand Court apartment complex for some time before her death. That is how I found out to let David know. Her Dad was so sad and overwhelmed.
I pray Terri you are in a gloreous place where you get to teach whatever you want to or not want to! I miss U! J
