In Memory

Louis Thibault

Louis J. Thibault

Louis Thibault passed away on July 7, 2025 in Longmont. Colorado. He was born in Springfield, Vermont, January 30, 1940, the son of Eugene and Dorothy (Gloriant) Thibault. Louie graduated from the Springfield High School Machine Coop Course in 1958.

In 1962 he married Sharon Baraby of Bellows Falls VT. They moved to Marlboro, MA where they lived until 2000, when they moved to Longmont, CO to be closer to their children. Louie was a machinist and loved to build, fix and make things, and enjoyed going to flea markets.  Once in Colorado, going to casinos was another favorite thing but he was not an extravagant bettor. As his health deteriorated, he enjoyed making jigsaw puzzles. When completed, he would frame them.

Louie is survived by his wife, Sharon, and daughter, Theresa (Jeffrey) Reh of Longmont, his brother, Eugene, in Hartford, CT, and sister, Rosanne (Hugh) Putnam, of Colchester, VT and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter, Wendi (David) Sardella, and two sisters, Dorothy (Leroy) Underwood and Marjorie (Charles) Merlini, and niece, Dianna (Audie) Reynolds. He was a special brother, husband, father, and Grandpa; a very caring person, willing to help anywhere he could. His wit and sense of humor will be missed by family and friends.

From his sister Bunni Putnam

I am most sorry to learn of Louie's passing. He was a real fun guy in high school and I enjoyed hanging around with him many times. My best regards along with regrets go out to his family and friends. Good bless Louie.

So sorry to hear that another of our 1958 classmate and long time friend has passed away.  I especially remember how much fun Louie was in high school.  He always had a joke to tell.  It is evident that Louie had a very loving family and enjoyed life.  Sorry to har about his health problems. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family.  He will be missed.  Priscilla Woychosky Millay
