Deceased Name: Joel M. Goodell
BETHLEHEM, N.H. - Joel M. Goodell, 67, died Feb. 6, 2008, at Littleton Regional Hospital.
He was born Dec. 4, 1940, in Bethel, Vt., the son of Merton and Elizabeth (Cushman) Goodell.
He attended school in Springfield, Vt.
Mr. Goodell was involved in the construction industry for many years, and owned Joe's Gun Repair in Bethlehem. He also worked as a custodian at Lafayette School in Franconia, and later owned and operated Shades of Green Lawn Care for more than 20 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Labine) Goodell of Bethlehem; their children, C.J. King and Crystal Goodell of Bethlehem, Lori Wark of Massachusetts, Terry Stockman and Timothy Goodell of Vermont, Christopher Goodell of Virginia, and Jeffrey Goodell of South Carolina; four brothers, Merton Goodell, Wesley Goodell, Harry Goodell and Robert Goodell of Vermont; one sister, Elizabeth Plumb of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the Pillsbury Funeral Home in Littleton.
The Rev. Lyn Winter will officiate.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Pillsbury Funeral Homes and Cremation Service Inc.
