EAST CHARLESTON - Janice M. Claflin, 58, died July 14, 2000, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in White River Junction, following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 27, 1941, in Hardwick, daughter of Thomas and Mabel (Dimick) Green.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1959.
She served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
She married John Claflin on Sept. 22, 1994, in Springfield.
Mrs. Claflin was employed at Mack Molding in Cavendish for several years, and most recently she was employed at News Bank in Chester.
She enjoyed computers, crafts, gardening and dancing.
Survivors include her husband of East Charleston; a son, Jeffrey Chadwick of Springfield; a daughter, Barbara Delorne of Granville, N.Y.; two brothers, David Green and Douglas Green, both of Chester; two sisters, Marilyn Mason Page of Anniston, Ala., and Carolyn Martin of Spring Hill, Fla., and by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Weston. Pastor Prescott Warren of the Green Mountain Baptist Church in Rutland will officiate. (For anyone who does not know where the cemetery is, the family will meet at 1 p.m. at the former Zachary's Pizza parking lot in Chester, and travel together to Weston.)
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
