Deceased Name: James M. Handly
James M. Handly, 66, died January 13, 2008, at his home in Wenatchee. He was born in Springfield, VT October 23, 1941; graduated from Springfield High School and from the University of Cincinnati with a BA in business. He had served in the U.S. Army headquarters in Germany in the 1960's. He had practiced accounting in Wenatchee for 20 years. Bridge was his lifelong passion. He was active in the Wenatchee Contract Bridge Club and Wenatchee Central Lions, as well many other community organizations. He was married for 34 years, to Charleta Montgomery Handly (who now resides in Vancouver, WA). His parents, Walter and Agnes Handly, preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Bran and Patrick (Nene) Handly; his brother, Bill (Patricia) Handly; sister, Rose Marie (Greg) Jones; and two grandchildren. Services were held at an earlier date. Memorials may be made to the Wenatchee Central Lions or American Heart Association.

Paul Malinski
James and I were good friends during our high school years. We played church basketball together and he was a true friend. When he first worked in New York city i saw him frequently and then he moved to Washington state and I saw him much less often. We met again at our 45th, and he lived in Wenatchee, Washington about 60 miles from where I am now located. I looked forward to renewing our friendship, and was shocked at learning of his death.
