Went to Syracuse U. & Univ. of VT. Worked at Furman's for 4 years off and on.
I worked for J&L for 18 years. Met my wife at J&L while training to go to Dayton, OH in 1968. We were married in 1969.
I have two lovely daughters, Cindy 1970 and Julie 1977. I have three grandchildren, Promise, Josh and Julian.
Owned my own corporation for 22 years with 18 employees in sales and service of hi-tech inspection systems. Sold the business in 2005 and worked part time as an optical inspection specialist and sales manager.
Have been totally retired since 2008 and loving doing all the things I put off, that I always wanted to do. I am deep into genealogy and have had fun tracing our family routes to 10 great grandparents on the Mayflower and a total of 23 other birth relatives on the ship.
Watching our grandson Julian play travel baseball and following him all around the country has been my biggest fun over the past 9 years. I still love watching high school sports of all kinds, but see the basketball boys and girls the most.
Favorite memory is the two state basketball championships. (It never got it out of my system and I still follow high school basketball, boys and girls both, with a bunch of older guys like myself who love the sport.)
The Friday night dances at the Community House and the proms were a very nice memory.
My dad came to Springfield as part of a coop program at J&L, while attending college at Northeastern University. My mom moved there after my parents were married in 1934. Springfield was a great and booming town in those years before, during and after WWI and WWII. It was a great place to grow up.

Dave and I went through most all of the grades together. He was always the caring young man, which extended into his adult years. Always there to lend a helping hand to anyone. A quiet hard working young man and a fine husband and father. He certainly left a legacy with the Class of '57.
Rest in peace Dave, you have earned a place in heaven.

God Bless Nelly. I will never forget when she first came to this country. I believe we were in the second grade. She immediately assimilated into our society and learned our language very quickly. She seemed a bit sad, but her classmates including myself did things to try and make her feel like she fit in immediately.
When we got to high school she was accepted as a speaker in the "I Speak for Democracy" contest. She gave her speech in an assembly and when I think of that day and that speech it can bring a tear or two to my eyes.It was an amazing speech and everyone was grasped by her words. I believe she went on to win the Vermont title with that speech.
She was fine young woman and always seemd to have a friendly smile. RIP Aniela.
Don was a good friend all the way through school along with his brother Jon. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs and had some good times discussing life over a cocktail or two. A very up individual who sadly was taken down by a terrible disease. God Bless.

Ray was a good friend, as we grew up together in close neighborhoods. We played a lot of baseball on the "vacant lot" and then down in "the hollow" behind Governor Johnson's home. He was always fun to be around friendly and for sure was the class clown.
I will miss the "always glad to see you attitude when going back for reunions". God bless and rest in piece my lifelong friend.
I remember Marshal as a calm, laid-back young man who was warm and friendly. Rest well Marshall.
Have a great day Rod. I have fond memories of you in school. I meet with Brad Dunbar at high school hoops t Vermont Academy in Saxtons River.

Daughter Julie brought me the shirt I am wearing, about a week ago, so I wanted to put it on today, March 20, 2024 and send back to my old friends and say hello and keep enjoying life.
