I'm finally back home in Jamaica after four years away at grad school and one year of gruelling, all-consuming work in an outpatient mental health clinic in Yonkers. Anyhow, after a couple months of rest and getting resettled in my home, I'm ready to take on this website in earnest and would welcome any ideas and creative input to keep the traffic regular, as well as any thoughts on getting more classmates interested and connected. The host site has a lot of neat new features that have been added since we started and I need to spend some time going through all their various announcement e-mails so that I can let you know about them. In the meanwhile, one feature is that we can post YouTube Video messages. Wouldn't it be great to see and hear from each other?

So, let me know what you'd like to see here and we'll do it!

Andrea DaCosta (Walling) Greetings to all from rainy England. I totally support a reunion; it would be great to see all the old familiar faces. Please let me know in advance as air fares are very expensive and must make plans for holiday from work. On another note, sad to hear of Sister JV's passing; may her soul rest in peace. Any Boarders out there remember Nurse Garvey?
We bumped into each other at the Grocery Store.
At the time 20 plus years ago, we had lived less than half a mile from each other for nearly three years before the 're-union'.
We share a passion for gardening.
This past year and a half have been very rough for her, but she is a 'tough old bird' and is doing quite well at this time. What a character!

Denise Edwards (Lyttle) Gwen, I'm laughing with you too regarding Sr. Ruth. Yes, tell Nurse Garvey hello for me. Have you been able to get in touch with Judith Leiba? I saw her on CVM TV a few months ago. She's a psychiatrist, so she was responding to a question about depression. She looked the same - calm, cool, Judy.

Hi Denise - I guess most people do not use this part of the site that much. Please pass along a HUGE hello, full of love to Miss Ramsey from me and my Sisters, Louise & Janet as well as my Mom (she is slowing down in some respects, but, still kicking in others).
I last saw Judy when I was in JA in (I believe) 1996. At that time I also saw Marica Brown and a few other Ladies including my Elementary School classmate, Grace Edwards who joined us in Sixth Form. If memory serves, I believe I also saw Althea Saunders (Sixth Form) during that last trip. My Cousin was kind enough to host a small get-to-gether. I am recalling home-made plantain tarts. I have not been 'Home' since 1996. That may change soon... :-) As sceptical of this venue as I may be, I am grateful to Marie for setting this up. Take care!

Hi fellow ICHS-ers and Boarders!

Thanks Tanya Tenn for informing me about this site. Somehow we missed each other at the Toronto Chapter functions which isn't that hard as its a big chapter. My last attendance was when Miss Lou showed up to many a surprized person. 2 days later I think she passed away. Saw Roma Bubbclarke at the memorial. I was in shock then and thinking back still puts me into shock. There is a video I posted on youtube of that day with Mona, Miss Lou and others.

I lost touch with most of you some 37 years ago but the memories even though very faded your names and faces still linger. Janice Morris introduced me to the 70's group on FB and I hope that I didn't scare Denise Edwards too much in the group. I guess I'm banned?? lol...yikes.

I have not been on this site for a LONG time as I had some trouble remembering my password. Anyhow, talk about a blast to the past!! Glad that you posted your picture!! I am not even sure that I could find mine!!

Anyhow- hoping that all is well with you. As for me, I got married only a few months ago. Yep! I waited all of this time!! At least I was not waiting in vain.

I am in Jamaica and glad to know that there are still many remembered. I will try to find that FB page you mentioned ....

Nicola - I wish you many years of joy! Waiting was well worth it!

I made an early error and am fortunate to have been given a second chance.

Donna - Thank you for sharing about Sister Mary Enderle - She will always be in my thoughts. My happy memories of ICHS are flavored with warm memories of her.

I too have not been to this site in a very lomg time. I will have to make a point to "stop by" more often.

Borrowing from Sister Maureen Claire - I will remember you all at the crib.

Hi Everyone,

Nice to catch up on your comments posted here as I haven't checked in for a long time. My uncle and my aunts' families were meeting up in Kingston in middle of July. Dave, my husband, suggested I go also and, I will be there July 12th! If you are in JA then, it would be so nice to meet up and have dinner together perhaps? I am thinking seriously about the 40th reunion in November but that's not confirmed yet😊. Anyone else thinking of going to Fort Lauderdale in Nov as well?

Oh- almost forgot. Also heading to Toronto on July 2nd, will be presenting at the Toronto Hakka Festival on July 9th and have a table there with Diane my sister who lives there! If you're in Toronto and want to meet up for dinner ( lunch/coffee ...) love to hear from you too!
