Comments:

After attending SCHS, our family moved to Bridgeton where I spent the last two years of high school (Pattonville). I went to Ricks College (BYU-Idaho) and spent some of the best years of my life near places like Jackson Hole, the Grand Tetons, etc. Came home to work various jobs, met an old friend (David) and fell madly in love. We married 1 1/2 years later, he finished chiropractic college, and we had our first baby, Benjamin, who was born with Down syndrome (he was diagnosed with autism as well at 7). We moved to North Carolina, David established a chiropractic practice, and had our second baby, a little doll named Eleanor. Ian came along a few years later. I decided to use my art background and start a pottery business to preserve children's hand and foot prints in pottery as heirloom plaques and ornaments. I love what I do!

School Story:

I met David in Hardin Middle School. He was the new kid from Chicago and sat somewhere behind me. I couldn't stand him -- he kept staring at me and for some reason it made me really angry. I even scratched out his picture in my yearbook with a pen that year. (still have that yearbook -- poor David!) Thank God a little maturity came our way and we became friends our freshman year, and even briefly dated. After my soph year I moved, and didn't see him again until 10 years later. My sister ran into him, she gave him my number. He showed up at my door and that was that...we have been together ever since. We make each other laugh every single day. Sometimes reminiscing about good ol' SCHS.

Who can forget Mr. Feurhaun's "sheep shed"?
The smell of the science hallway when they were dissecting something that week?
The noisy blue lockers in A building?
The sound and excitement of the football games (mostly in the rain)?
Regrettably short skirts and high, high heels at the Homecoming dances, not to mention the horrible grey or black patterned cardigans the boys always seemed to wear?
Drama babes, cast parties (I'd rather forget), rivals, note-passing (I still have many notes from HS, believe it or not), secret crushes, excruciating shyness, funny teachers, silly administrators, etc etc etc...

Thanks for being part of my memories, SCHS!
