Mary Beth Verlinde '81

After graduating from SJA in 1981, I attended SouthLake High School and went to Macomb Community College for a year. I then married my high school sweetheart, (although he was not really sweet). We moved to MT and FL, as he was in the Air Force. We had one daughter together, and she was the best thing he ever gave me! I attended the school of hard knocks and graduated with honors!!! I left my abusive husband, and moved to NC, where I currently reside. I had another child, a son, Jay, and God also gave me three other children to play mother too, so all in all, I have 5 kids, 2 girls and 3 boys. Stephanie gave me two of the most adorable grandchildren there ever could be, Davien and Savannah. Erica is graduating from college this year, CJ is currently in the Marine's, Braxton is out of high school and looking into college's and life choices, and the youngest, Jay is still at home, getting ready to turn 13. I love my kids, I love all kids. I am in a long term relationship and love my life in NC. I attempt to visit MI at least once a year. I try to do that in the summer, so I can catch a Detroit Tigers game. I love baseball, and love the Tigers.
