TENTATIVE ITINERARY FOR GOSHEN HOMECOMING 2010
Wednesday July…. - 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight - Welcoming Party
Activities:
(i) Meeting and greeting
(ii) Board Games competition includes but not limited to: Dominoes, Scrabble, Chess, Cards,
draft, monopoly etc. Trophies will be awarded to all winners in each competition.
(iii) Entertainment- Music
(iv) Food on the house
(v) Refreshment and liquor on sale.
(vi) Raffle and other give-a-ways.
Thursday July …. - Goshen All-Age School Graduation
(At the Principal and Staff consent).
Members of the Home-Coming Group will:
(1) award one-time scholarships to needy students who will be moving on to high schools.
(2) Make presentation to the winner of the Essay Competition.
(3) Present gift packages to students who are in need and
(4) Selected members of the Home-Coming group will give a five minutes
speech on their “Reflections” of Goshen in the 50, 60, 70 and 80ies.
Friday July … - Principal’s Night
Saturday July - The Grand Goshen Homecoming Carnival
Event starts at 10:00 a.m.
Activities:
Opening ceremony to mark the occasion.
Entertainment: Merry-go-round; Concession stands with Grab Bags, shooting hoops etc.;
Fashion show; Dance contest; Bun eating contest for age 17 years and over;
Karaoke contest; presentation of awards to pioneers of Goshen; Crowing of Miss
Goshen Teen and Pre-teen; Stage show; Raffle; Drawing of gate prizes.
Food: Several food vendors will be on location.
Feast from a variety of home cooked food including jerk chicken and pork, curried goat, fried
chicken, breadfruit, festival, fried fish... Plenty of liquor, snacks, and pastries will be on sale.
Vendors: Local vendors in and around Goshen will be given the opportunity to rent and
manage stalls. Homecoming committee will set rental price later. No outside vendors will
be allowed on premises or close to entrance.
Admission to Carnival:
Advance purchase: Adults - Ja$400.00 or US$5.00 and Children under 12 years Ja$250.00
or US$3.00.
At the gate: Adults - Ja$600 or US$8.00 and Children - Ja$400 or US$5.00

All ticket holders will be given a wrist band in exchange for the tickets. Tickets will be in
circulation from early 2010, all are encourage to purchase tickets in advance so as to avoid...
on that day.
Music by popular disco. Police Security will be on hand throughout the day.
Proceeds from the Homecoming events will go towards renovating the School. The School
board and the Homecoming Group will meet to decide areas and cost of renovation.
Sunday July - Church Service at the Goshen Moravian Church
A special Offering will be taken in aid of the Church Building Fund.
(The church was founded by Mrs. Ruby Pagon first Head Mistress of Goshen
School. Both Mrs. Pagon and her husband Mr. Sydney Pagon spearheaded the building
the church and the school).
Cool off the week and the Sunday afternoon at a Beach Party at Font
Hill.
On Sale from January 2010:
Printed Tee and Polo shirts.
Raffle Tickets. Proceeds from this raffle will offset some of the expenses that we will be
incurring for the Goshen Homecoming 2010.
