I married my high school sweetheart Gay Lynn just after highschool; she is a 1971 graduate of Ritenour HS.
We have 2 children, Brian and Teresa, our son Brian has 3 daughters, our lovely granddaughters that we love to spoil! Our daughter Teresa just got married in March 2011.
Home, kids, grandkids, work, and union duties kept me busy when working. Now I volunteer at the Affton Christian Food Pantry a couple of times a week. I am the President of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Seven Holy Founders Church and I am an Outreach Ambassador for the St. Louis Alzheimer's Association working with families affected by the disease.
During our spare time Gay and I like to shop antique malls, try new restaurants around the city, especially on the Hill.
We love to travel when we can. One of our favorite cities is New Orleans, we've been to New York City for the Macy's Day Parade, to Las Vegas a couple of times and took a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon and actually landed in the Canyon and had a champagne picnic on a ledge looking down over the Colorado River, and have played golf at Pebble Beach. A great trip we had was in 2009 when we went to Italy for 2 weeks.
Gay took me to Paris for my 65th birthday and we celebrated it at the Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower. Headed to Great Britain via the Chunnel and hit all the sites we could see in the nest 2 weeks from Big Bend to Stonehenge onto Scotland and Wales.
When we are home, Gay & I love sitting on our deck with a nice bottle of wine, and I enjoy a fine cigar now and then.
