Murray, Timothy S., born February 26, 1943 to parents Stephen & Lorraine Murray (nee Dickemper), passed away on December 13, 2022. Married to Carol (nee Lato) Murray on September 24, 1966 for 56 years. Survived by two sons Doug and Kevin, daughter-in-law Tina and granddaughter Kierra. He was an uncle, brother, brother-in-law and a friend to many.

Tim went to Resurrection Grade School and St. Mary’s High School, graduating in 1961. He went to Ranken Technical School where he studied to be an electrician and went onto work for Mack Electric and Aschinger Electric where he retired.

He and Carol were able to take several trips and celebrated their 50th Anniversary in Italy.

Tim enjoyed staying active besides being the handyman around the house. He was like his dad, he could fix or come up with a solution that was not on the market. He went to the gym 5 days a week. He loved his bike riding buddies (Carol calls them the ‘Biker Boys’) and he took a couple of bike trips with them. He loved to read and had so many books he could have started his own library. He also liked doing Sudoku, he was always good with numbers.

He and Carol enjoyed being such a big part of their granddaughter’s life from little on and watching her grow to a new teenager. Tim was a baseball coach when Kevin played baseball and he helped out with the boys soccer teams. He was also involved in scouts and a Webelo Leader for Doug and…Oh Yeah the Pinewood Derby. He was always there for his boys.

He belonged to the Athletic Association at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque where the family has been parishoners since 1974. One of his earlier hobbies was growing plants where he had a section in the basement set up with special lighting for them.

When Tim was 11 years old in 1954, his mother entered him in the Cardinal Bat Boy contest at the corner grocery store. His name was pulled and he spend 3 days with the then Cardinal team. He wore the full Cardinal uniform and his picture was taken with many of the Cardinals players like Stan Musial, etc. What a lasting memory that was for him.

He also enjoyed going to the family house at the lake and just relaxing and being around the water.

His disease of Alzheimers caused him to lose his ability to do everything and now he is in God’s loving arms and he is Free.

Services: Celebration of Life visitation from 10:00 to 11:00am and mass at 11:00am on January 21, 2023 St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, 4900 Ringer Road, 63129. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimers Assoc. or St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Parish, appreciated. By Kutis South County Chapel.
