Greg Stoltz

Greg Stoltz passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014. His wife Jeanne preceded him in closely death by several weeks. Greg had 4 children and 6 grandchildren, and much of his family surrounded him in his passing.

Greg served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star.

He was a long-term resident of Bettendorf, Iowa.

Edmund Gregory Stoltz,III, 71, of Bettendorf, Iowa, formerly of St. Louis, MO passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 20, 2014. Devoted husband of the late Jeanne Stoltz (nee Mortland), loving father of Richard (Kelly) Stoltz, Gregory (Hollie) Stoltz, Annie (Jeff) Niklawski, Katie (Ben) Dungan; son of the late Edmund G. Jr. and Isabel Stoltz (nee Lorson) ; brother of Michael (Elaine) Stoltz, Rev. Richard Stoltz, Mark (Mary Walters) Stoltz; brother-in-law of Mary Jo (Bill) Giessman, Alice (Tom) O’Brien, the late Herbert “Butch” Mortland and late Christopher Bina; devoted grandfather of Michael, Isabel, Stephen, Gregory, Josephine, and Addison; dear uncle, great uncle, and friend to many. 

 
Greg served his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Greg was loved by his family and friends and will be missed by many. Memorials in Greg’s name to a charity of your choice is preferred.


A memorial mass will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5800 Oleatha Ave., St. Louis, MO 63139 at 10:00 A.M.
