Jim died tragically while walking back to Saint Louis University on North Grand Avenue after attending a Cardinals game at Sportsman's Park. Reports indicate that he was confronted and stabbed by a juvenile, possibly as part of a gang initiation.
Jim Ready was a dear friend throughout our time at St. Mary's and we kept in touch in college.

Jim was very smart but what I emember most about Jim was his terrific sense of humor. Life would have been a blast for Jim and I still miss him.
